Installing DD-WRT on the Linksys EA8500. This is intended to assist you installing DD-WRT on your US Linksys EA8500 if you have Linksys firmware newer than ver 1.1.4.168206. I know there are a few various ways to do this but I'm trying to detail it so your kids can do it for you :-) The following was done with Windows 10 running latest windows updates as of September 15, 2016. dd-wrt, which I've used extensively, is a rough-and-tumble community. Its boards can be n00b unfriendly, not tolerating those seen as fools well. Its website tends to be stale and its wiki and documentation often contain outdated information. Not all (not many?) pages have up-to-date info to supersede the outdated.
